Enzo Fiore was born in Milan on 13 July 1968. After attending high school with a focus on artistic subjects in Milan, he received his diploma in painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts under the tutelage and guidance of Luciano Fabro. During the following years, he dedicated his talents to restoration of antique paintings as well as designing theatrical settings. • In 2006 he met the gallery owner and dealer Stefano Contini with whom he began to collaborate, holding exhibitions both in Venice and Cortina d'Ampezzo. • Since his debut as an artist in 1997, Fiore takes his material from nature itself to create his works, a unique technique utilizing musk, twigs, roots, earth, stones, resin and cement which all combine in originating forms suspended between reality and fantasy. In 2008 he also began using a variety of insects in the composition of his works. • His latest creations are marked by aggressive and strong background colour which visibly lightens the mood of the painting, exorcizing the theme of death and decay. The brilliant colour adds a feeling of Pop Art to his portraits.
