Are you able to edit your photos down to the very best images? • You come back from a photo shoot, plug your card into your computer, download your files and suddenly realised you shot WAY more images than you thought. • It could be hundreds, sometimes thousands of images staring at you! It happens to all of us, including professionals. • One of the secrets to professional photography however lies in the power of being able to edit your own work. • It requires not just the patience to look through all your images, but it also requires the ability to gradually whittle down the images to ONLY the best ones. • So you may have 1000 images from a shoot. My first step would be to get that down to 100 images. Then I will try to get it down to 10 that I am happy with. From those ten, I may only choose 1-2 that I actually include in my final portfolio of selects. This is very typical. • Professional photographers only show you their best images. There are tens of thousands of images that didn’t make the cut that gather dust on hard drives and you’ll never ever see. And that’s okay.
