Did you know that most people have chlorine, or something even worse, in their municipal water? 😱 • Chloramine, a combination of chlorine and ammonia can often be present in the water we use to drink, shower, and cook with. • The introduction of chlorine into our water was actually a great achievement that allowed us to cut down on communicable diseases present in the water. • While this means we’re no longer dying of dysentery (anyone remember that old game?!) we’re getting more skin issues than we may have had in the past because the chlorine is stripping us of our natural oils that help protect our skin. • Even when filtering our water for drinking - nearly 50% of our water intake comes from simply showering in it!
