This can be due to it not being classified as good/bad by PC Matic, or it has been classified as a program that should not be running on your computer. • If you are not sure why a file is being blocked, you can always submit a helpdesk ticket via pcmatic.com/support • If you are positive the program is safe and you want to allow the program to run, you can do so by following this process. • If Super Shield is not visible in your taskbar, we can make it visible by right-clicking the taskbar, then taskbar settings, then click select which icons appear in the taskbar. Then turn on Super Shield. • The first step is to see if the programs runs without Super Shield. Right click the shield, click protection level, then click pause Super Shield. • Try opening the program. If it works, then we would need to add the file to PC Matic's whitelist. This whitelists the file locally, meaning it would be whitelisted for your PC Matic account only. If the file doesn't run when Super Shield is paused then that means Super Shield is not blocking the program. • This is what we call running Super Shield in advanced mode. Remember: ADVANCED MODE IS ONLY RECOMMENDED FOR THE BRIEF PERIOD OF TIME TO WHITELIST AN ITEM. Once the item is whitelisted you should return the block notification method to display only. • Super Shield has two modes, industry standard and super shield protection. Blacklist only mode is not recommended as this does not offer you the best protection possible. We strongly encourage you to use Super Shield protection as this will ensure that no bad files are allowed to execute. • Right-click the Super Shield icon, click protection, click block notification method, then click prompt for override. • Try to run the file again.
