Demodex are eye mites that build up on your eyelids and lashes. These mites can cause a variety of issues such as red, irritated, itchy, and inflamed eyes. • I always recommend an eyelid spray, gel, or wipe to get rid of the mites or keep them at bay. • Also - a new eye drop was just released that kills the demodex mites and the eggs to prevent them from returning. You simply use the eye drops twice a day for six weeks. I am anxious to see how this works for our patients! • I’ve created a list of my favorite eyelid devices and cleaners on Amazon.
