Automated cell expansion takes place in the cultivation chamber of the CliniMACS Prodigy® Tubing Set, which is designed to maintain closed system cell processing on the CliniMACS Prodigy® Instrument. Watch this animation and learn how optimal culture conditions are maintained and automated medium exchange and removal is performed. • GMP-compliant cell cultivation and expansion takes place in the cultivation chamber of the CliniMACS Prodigy® Tubing Set, which is designed to maintain closed system cell processing on the CliniMACS Prodigy® Instrument. The CentriCult Unit (CCU) houses the chamber, ensures temperature regulation of the cell suspension during cell cultivation, and allows for centrifugation of the chamber. Hence, used medium is easily removed leaving the cells untouched and fresh medium is added to the chamber from attached medium bags via the CliniMACS Prodigy® Tubing Set, resulting in a fully automated media exchange. The medium supply and exchange as well as the whole cell culture process duration are flexible and programmable.
