This will help just in making the tie portion of the blanket. So, to do that you can just lie out your blanket on a large table. And you can see here we're a little off. Our black and white polka dot fabric is a little bit smaller than our blue fabric, and that's OK, because we're going to fix that right now. • So, what you can do is take some scissors or your rotary cutter, which I'm going to use here, and just trim off the uneven portion. Now, if you're uncomfortable just laying your out your fabric and doing it free-hand, you can always use some pins to pin your fabric in place so it won't move before you make your cut. Just line up your scissors or your rotary cutter, and chop off the uneven portion. • So, there we go. Now this section is exactly the same size. Then you can go ahead and rotate your fabric. Or if you're working on a really big table, which is really nice, you can walk around your table without disturbing your fabric, which is the best thing to do. Go ahead and trim off this side, and now we have our two pieces that are exactly the same size. And this is going to make for a beautiful tie blanket.
