The latest report of Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said that in the First Semester of 2021, poverty incidence among population, or the proportion of poor Filipinos whose per capita income is not sufficient to meet their basic food and non-food needs was estimated at 23.7 percent. The survey was based on the first visit of the 2021 Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) conducted by the PSA in July 2021.
