This day 1 of 3 of my September 2020 Swordfish School aboard the Broad Minded at Bud n' Mary's Marina. We had 6 guests aboard who all rigged swordfish baits in the morning and then over the 3 days of fishing I teach them a lot of what I know about swordfishing. On the way offshore we catching some mahi, which make great swordfish bait, and then mid day we hook our first swordfish. After 15 minutes we catch our first swordfish and then set the baits back out for another. An hour later we hook a big swordfish and it's one of the fastest swordfish I've ever seen on the surface! She charged the boat multiple times trying to get underneath it and in the wheels. Fortunately we worked together as a team and after an hour and forty minutes we put the fish in the boat! Back at the marina I show you how we fillet a big swordfish and then Bean shows us how to cook it in a pan!
