I'm a big fan of .22 bolt action repeaters. They are a great gun to train new shooters and make a great gun to spend and afternoon burning up a brick of ammo plinking. I already have a Marlin Model 81 bolt action that was my grandpa's rat gun on the farm. I also have a Ruger 77/22 that I got used and love to shoot. It's the rifle I got my appleseed patch with. As such I didn't really need another .22 bolt action repeater. • But Palmetto State Armory had a black friday sale where they had Savage Mk IIF Rifles for $149. They also had a $50 rebate which knocked the price down to $99 and I couldn't resist adding one to my collection. Especially after I shooting the Trophy Hunter XP .308 that I just posted a review of. • Overall I really like this gun at this price point. It seems to sell in the $200-220 range normally but I did see that Wal-mart sells them for $147. The closest competition that I can see is the Ruger American Rimfire which is a great looking gun and takes 10/22 mags like the 77/22 but they retail around $300 last I checked. I also really like the 77/22 but they are closer to $1000 than $100 in today's market. • It has the Savage AccuTrigger but it's a bit of a gimmick on this gun because the trigger is already set all the way down out of the box so you won't be able to get it lower than stock using the accutrigger wrench tool. • I generally would recommend looking for a nice used bolt rimfire as they are pretty much everywhere for cheap but the only .22s I've been seeing lately for $100 are single shots so if you are in the market definitely give the Savage Mark IIF a look. • If you'd like to support Gun ShotTV so we can make more videos please visit our Patreon at the link below. • https://www.patreon.com/user?u=4139337
