In this video, I am going to shown you, • 6 Way To Identify Male And Female Platy Fish • 1.Body Shape • The female platies come with rounded and plumber body structures, apart from being naturally bigger. • The male platies are generally smaller and have a smoother and sleeker body shape. • 2.Body Size • Female platies are little bit larger than male platies. • Female platies grow to as long as 2.5 inches, while males grow only to 1.5 inches long. • 3.Anal Fin Shape • The shape of the anal fin differs between the male and female. • Female platies have a rounded anal fin whereas Male platies have a long and pointed anal fin. This fin called a gonopodium, is used to inseminate the female. • 4. COLORATION • If The male and female platies come with similar patterns then you can identify them by the colors. • Male platy has bright body color than females. • Female platy have less color than males. • 5.
