Today we’re doing a featured roundup of the GoldenEar Technology BRX - Bookshelf Reference X Speakers - an audiophile-grade 2-way bookshelf speakers. The speaker borrows design ideas from ultra-high-performance professional nearfield monitors designed by GoldenEar Technology. • GoldenEar’s goal with BRX or Bookshelf Reference X was to produce compact bookshelf speakers that could achieve accurate high-definition sound reproduction, with amazing three-dimensional imaging, comparable to that achieved by the brand's award-winning Triton Floorstanders. To achieve this, the speaker integrates almost exactly the same 6 mid/bass woofer and a 1” High Velocity Folded Ribbon tweeter as seen in the Triton Reference floorstanders. It doesn’t end there, the bookshelf speakers also sport a pair of side-mounted 6.5” planar infrasonic passive low-frequency radiators for a tight and powerful bass response.
