In Part 4 we burnish the wood with some steel wool and then apply a final coat of wax. • This is the finish I apply to just about every one of my woodworking projects. I haven't seen any other info on the web about it so I figured I'd put together a series of videos showing how I mix and apply it. See full description for more! • Part 1: Mixing • Best Woodworking Finish Ever - Part 1... • Part 2: First Coat • Best Woodworking Finish Ever - Part 2... • Part 3: Second Coat • Best Woodworking Finish Ever - Part 3... • Part 4: Burnish Wax (Coming Soon) • I've found that most woodworking finishes are a mix of three factors: • • Ease of application • • Time spent applying • • Beauty Protection • And it's usually a tradeoff: every finish only gets you two of the three in most cases. This one gives you beauty and ease of application in exchange for time: each coat takes a day to dry and you'll usually want 4+ coats. But for me that's a trade I'm willing to make as I think this is one of the most beautiful finishes you can get and it's really easy to mix and apply. • I learned about this finish from my first woodworking course up in Orange County, CA with William Ng at his school: https://wnwoodworkingschool.com/ • Products used: • Varnish: http://amzn.to/2DJWu5w • Tung Oil: http://amzn.to/2EkWOIY • Boiled Linseed Oil: http://amzn.to/2EmP9du • Lacquer Thinner: http://amzn.to/2EmPjBC • Bloxygen: http://amzn.to/2DUdp8X • #0000 Steel Wool: http://amzn.to/2DLBP58 • Howard Feed-N-Wax: http://amzn.to/2FuGtkp • Gloves: http://amzn.to/2DJXczI • Tupperware: http://amzn.to/2npmZ9A • Butcher/Freezer Paper: http://amzn.to/2DKlHNk • Bag o' Rags: http://amzn.to/2Emcvj3 • Painter’s Triangles: http://amzn.to/2DZwhn0
