This was one of the last level crossings to be renewed as part of the extensive Feltham Area Re-signalling Project, and though it looks vastly similar to before, it has new wigwags, E2S 'Appello' alarms, and Newgate 'Rising Arm' motor-driven barriers in a high-voltage set-up. The new signalling system should likely have been the only reason anything needed to be done to this crossing, as the previous setup was barely in for 15 years and in good condition, and surely the money would have been better spent elsewhere. Both shots in this video were taken from the same side due to the position and angle of the sun at the time, and I provided what I think's the best I could (staying close up) in terms of shots of the barriers rising as it got quite crowded with people who'd just gotten of the trains. • The level crossing is NOT malfunctioning - it's just the crossing operator making the barriers stop for show.
