Calls mount for the R70 road from Senekal to Ficksburg to be fixed

In February 2022, Premier Sisi Ntombela in her Provincial Address made a firm commitment that in 2022, the R70 from Senekal to Ficksburg will be replaced. Yet, to date, no work has been done- a cause for concern for many residents who say they have no other alternatives. Numerous accidents have been recorded on the stretch of road, most recently on the morning of 20 December 2022 when a bakkie with commuters and a taxi collided. Both were avoiding potholes.
