Death Note Live Action VS Anime

Back in 2012, I watched the Japanese live action ‘Death Note’ movies and became absolutely obsessed with the story. Fast-forward 11 years and I became a serial anime watcher and cosplayer. . .and FINALLY watched the anime. Now, obviously, I expected a few differences, but I did NOT expect that the story had been changed so dramatically that I almost fell off my chair like L finding out that Shinigami are real. (I really wish I thought to say that when I was recording this. . .I mean, does anyone ever read descriptions anymore?
