This was Marilyn's song suggestion and I was very interested as I also felt strongly about covering it. It's funny, I began to record using my typical heavy electric guitar sound. I listened to a section and decided to take a different approach and give it a softer vibe by playing clean. • I immediately thought that an acoustic arrangement would be better suited for this more laid back chill tune. I used my Taylor and there was no doubt that I made the right choice. I had a major problem which was a lack of a lap top! My mac was back in the shop (poor thing gets hammered!) and I had only my ipad and my istomp interface pedal. I had no idea the sound would be this clear and bright. Remember that I am competing against a top-level backing track. That worried me greatly. Well, as luck would have it the results are passable. • • As for Marilyn's video, well, what can I say? She is incredible. Once again, we spoke very little about it as trust between artists is critical!
