Water proficiency is a core skill of every Navy Seal… and to gain those skills, Navy Seal candidates must go through some of the hardest training in the world where they will be pushed to their limits in a carefully planned training program that increases in complexity as they move on. • First, candidates learn the basics of swimming to build up endurance. They gradually face swimming tests such as floating without a floatation device, swimming in different styles, and holding their breath for multiple minutes. • Then, things get even harder. The SEAL must pass the drown-proof test. • Their hands and feet are tied and they are thrown into a pool where supervisors will ask them to perform a series of tasks in the water like bouncing off the bottom of the pool, floating, and picking up a mask with their teeth from the bottom of the pool • Their bodies and minds will be pushed to their limits for several minutes, and they will have to overcome the fear of drowning to become a Navy Seal and get the confidence to act fast and without fear in the most stressful situations imaginable. • #themilitaryshow
