Potato scallops, also known as potato cakes or potato fritters, are a classic item at the local fish 'n' chip shop. They are made from thinly sliced potatoes that are coated in a batter and then fried until golden brown • Ingredients :- • 2-3 Large Potatoes • Fresh Green Chillies • Fresh Coriander • 1 tsp Salt • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder • 1 Cup Gram Flour (Besan) • Water • Oil for frying • Method of preparing :- • Finely chop the green chillies into a bowl • Add in salt and red chilli powder (adjust according to taste) • Next add chopped coriander and the gram flour • Gradually add in some water and mix together • Continue to mix until a smooth paste like consistency • Peel and slice the potatoes into scallops • Add the sliced potato scallops into batter and mix together • Heat oil in a wok for frying • Add the scallops one by one and fry the until golden brown and crispy • Strain and serve with your choice of dips • Enjoy • • #potatoscallops #potatocake #fishandchips #scollops #fritters #foodie #foodporn #pakora #snacks #bhfyp #pakoras #samosa
