Nevis to St Kitts Cross Channel Swim what to expect

The Nevis to St.Kitts Cross Channel swim is a top ranked Open Water Swimming event. The event takes places every year at the end of March. In 2023 the swim celebrated its 21st year. Swimmers depart from Oualie beach in Nevis and navigate across the Narrows to sister Island St.Kitts. The swim is approximately 2.5 miles or 4.1 km Open Water. There are different categories which include competitive age categories and assisted swimmers. The fastest swimmers take around 1 hour to complete the event while some swimmers take over 3 hours to complete the swim. • By participating in the event you typically get the following: T-shirt, Finisher Medal, Swim Cap, Personal Float, Rescue boats and kayaks in case you need to rest, feed or stop. Prizes and a breakfast party on St.Kitts after the swim, One way Boat transportation (from St. Kitts or Nevis before or after the swim • The NEVIS TO ST KITTS CROSS CHANNEL SWIM also has the Gifting Goggles initiative where you can either make a financial contribution or gift your old pair of goggles to help local swimmers in need who wish to participate in the sport of swimming. • Congratulations to all the swimmers who participated in the event in 2023!
