This means it’s ok to remove the filters but don’t remove the whole unit as seen in the video as Richard is a licensed gas fitter and is permitted to install gas appliances. There are circumstances where you can disconnect the heater yourself (e.g. if it's a bayonet (quick connect) then you do not need to be a licensed gas fitter but if you are not sure it may best to ask or commission a licensed professional for both compliance as well as for the safety of your home. • • [0:41] Clean The Filters Outside - These filters and units build up a lot of dust so best to clean out the filters outside to avoid dust throughout your home. Remember, it’s ok for you to clean out the filters but do not take out the whole unit unless you’re a licensed gas fitter. • • [2:28] Electric Blower / Vacuum Cleaner - You most likely have one of these at home.
