Pan de Coco (meaning literally Coconut Bread) is a delicious Filipino treat, which is best served warm right out of the oven. There are two distinct steps, making the dough, and making the filling, but it's not a difficult recipe at all!Ingredients: • For the Dough: • 4 Cups All-Purpose Flour • ¾ Cup Granulated Sugar • ½ Cup Vegetable Oil • ½ Tsp. Salt • 1½ Tsp. Instant Dry Yeast • 1¼ Lukewarm Milk (105℉ to 110℉) • For the Filling: • 2 Cups Dried Shredded Coconut (also called Desiccated) • ¾ Cup Brown Sugar • ¾ Coconut Milk (regular milk can be used too) • 1 Cup Water • 3 Tbsp. Butter • ½ Tbsp. Vanilla Extract • To Thicken the Filling: • 1 Tbsp.
