Why I stopped scanning my negatives and started photographing them

Scanning has always played a big part in my love/hate relationship with the shooting film process and to be honest the Epson V600 really didn't do much to help the situation. • The clunky software and the slow going always put me off scanning and more often that not I ended up with a scanning backlog. • But recently I started photographing (or DSLR scanning) my negatives with the aid of a light pad and have been really happy with the results. • Here is a quick look at my workflow as I scan a black and white negative from my Mamiya RB67. • Not only do the negatives look good, but by tethering to Lightroom the workflow is quick and simple. • Add in the Negative Lab Pro plugin and what's not to love. • https://www.negativelabpro.com/
