The Big Bang Theory and Christianity

For centuries there have existed odd tensions between Christianity and science. One of these tensions is the purported discrepancy between the biblical creation narrative and one of the modern scientific theories of universal beginnings: the Big Bang Theory. In this video I deal with two possible choking points that would lead Christians to reject the scientific theory of Big Bang cosmology. The first of these choking points is the problem of the age of the universe. The second is the relationship between Big Bang cosmology and the theory of evolution. Discussions of these two points include topics such as biblical genealogies, literal versus figurative interpretations of the biblical creation account, and insights on the age of the universe. • This is by no means a comprehensive look at these topics, but rather a brief survey of them.
