Invention and perfection of the Floating Axle King Arthur Trebuchet. I (Craig Macomber) invented the Floating Axle King Arthur Trebuchet (FAKA) in October 2006. The design was optimized through computer simulations and scaled up to make the Golf Ball Beast (GBB) in 2007. GBB threw over 320 feet with 5 pounds of counterweight, and 690 feet with 15 pounds. My design was then scaled up and improved structurally by the engineers at Janicki Industries when they made J-Buchet which was entered in the Burlington Pumpkin Pitch in late September 2007.
