New York Philharmonic Principal Percussion Christopher S. Lamb had to combine logistics with virtuosity during the Orchestra’s residency at the Barbican Centre in London, which featured works with large percussion complements, including Esa-Pekka Salonen’s Cello Concerto and music by John Adams.
