Here I will show you the most important events and the causes of the Russian Revolution of 1905, in a short history documentary. The Revolution began when the controversial Orthodox priest Georgy Gapon, led a huge workers' procession to the Winter Palace to deliver a petition to the Tsar, and the troops guarding the Palace opened fire on the demonstrators, an event later known as Bloody Sunday. • This mass political and social unrest that spread through vast areas of the Russian Empire, included worker strikes, peasant unrest, and military mutinies.
