To mark #BlackHistoryMonth we take a look at the life and work of French composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. This autumn we'll be presenting arias by the pioneering black composer as part of our Mozart's Requiem concert. • In this video, opera expert Alexandra Coghlan meets Professor Christopher Dingle to introduces us to a historical trail-blazer whose exceptional story, as well as his music, has been neglected for far too long.
