I was a huge fan of the first season, with its animation and character work. It has one of my favorite depictions of Clark Kent and Lois Lane ever made, and it has such a unique identity to it. It’s willing to take the existing storylines and concepts and twist them in interesting ways, pulling more from Japanese anime styles and tropes that set it apart from a lot of other superhero animated shows. • And it’s done wonders for the reputation of Superman. For years, basically everyone thought Superman was “boring.” But now, in part thanks to this show, it feels like that’s starting to change. But why did people think he was boring in the first place?
