What is LLM? Let’s dive in! • The Liberland Merit, or LLM, is the citizenship and political token of Liberland. People must stake LLM in a process called Political Pooling (PolitiPooling) in order to be eligible for citizenship. Only citizens can vote in referenda. • LLM are given when people pay voluntary taxes, therefore they represent the financial contributions one has made to Liberland. The more LLM a citizen stakes, the more influence they have in referenda. • To apply for citizenship, an individual must obtain and PolitiPool at least 5,000 LLM. A family citizenship is available at just 10,000 LLM staked! If you want to reduce your political influence, you can unstake LLM at a rate of 10% per year. • Right now, LLM is available at a rate of 1 LLM per 2 USD when paying voluntary taxes. That rate could change once LLM is widely available, just as LLD’s value against USD has risen since mid-February. • LLM will soon be available via Uniswap on Ethereum, and PolkaSwap on SORA.
