It can be horribly frustrating if a 3D print that has already been going on for hours or even days fails and the printhead only moves in mid-air without printing anything. In this video, I’ll show you how you can easily resume one of these failed prints and save you a lot of time and money! Let’s find out more! • NOTE: This video covers the approach that works very well with GCode from PrusaSlicer and relative extrusions. If you're using CURA and notice that your slicer spits out absolute extrusion amounts (M82) then check the website article. The process of editing your G-code file might be slightly different! • Website article: https://www.cnckitchen.com/blog/guide... • ๐Ÿ’š Support me ๐Ÿ’š • Patreon:   / cnckitchen   • Join as a YouTube member! • CNC Kitchen Threaded Inserts: https://geni.us/CNCKInsertsChoice • Merch: https://teespring.com/stores/cnckitchen • Buy an Original Prusa i3 printer: https://geni.us/CNCKPrusa • PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/CNCKitchen • Shop at Matterhackers(US): http://www.matterhackers.com/?aff=7479 • Shop at 3DJake(EU): https://geni.us/zHvnB • Shop at E3D: https://geni.us/CNCK_E3D • ๐ŸŽ™Check out The Meltzone Podcast:    / @themeltzone   • ๐Ÿ›’ Equipment used in this video: • Creality Ender-3 Pro (Affiliate): https://geni.us/ZmOa3 • My favorite Mitutoyo Calipers (Affiliate): https://geni.us/7a8gB • Metal Ruler (Affiliate): https://geni.us/8HAo • Original Prusa MK3 (Affiliate): https://geni.us/CNCKPrusa • ๐ŸŽฅ Related videos: • Not always z-wobble:    • PID vs Bang-Bang Temperature Control   • Removing blobs:    • (How) I finally got rid of these blobs!   • ๐Ÿ–จ Printed models: • 3D Benchy by Daniel Norée: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:763622 • Cyclops by Wekster:   / posts   • Storm Trooper Helmet by Geoffro: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:391664 • Marvin by 3D Hubs: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:215703 • ๐Ÿ“– Further Links: • MARLIN G-code reference: https://marlinfw.org/meta/gcode/ • โš™ My gear (Affiliate Links): • ๐ŸŽฅ CAMERAS LENSES • Panasonic GH5 - Professional 4k60 camera: https://geni.us/LMN0CmS • Panasonic GX80/GX85 - Great value system camera: https://geni.us/M2Sm • 30mm f2.8 macro - Great Macro Lens (80% of my videos): https://geni.us/vEwqD • 10-25mm f1.7 - Awesome Lens: https://geni.us/ZTBH • 12-35mm f2.6 - Great Allround Lens: https://geni.us/S9GOsr • 14-140mm f3.5-5.6 - My go-to travel Lens: https://geni.us/fSAyKo • 25mm f1.4 - Nice prime for photography: https://geni.us/mqWM • ๐ŸŽ™AUDIO • Rode Video Mic Pro - Shotgun mic: https://geni.us/6JFRdJ • Rode Film Maker Kit - Wireless mic: https://geni.us/XMD2N • Rode NT-USB - Studio Mic: https://geni.us/YVONvy • ๐Ÿ”ด LIVE STREAMING • Elgatoo Stream Deck: https://geni.us/ppIiAL • Elgatoo HDMI USB Capture Card: https://geni.us/imhD • Logitech C920 - Overhead camera: https://geni.us/ViVgB • Follow me on Twitter:   / cnc_kitchen   • Follow me on Instagram:   / cnckitchenyt   • Chapters • 00:00 Introduction • 02:03 Fallback Solution - Reprint missing parts • 02:25 Preparation • 02:40 Measure the failure height • 05:55 Determining the resume height • 06:33 Modifying the G-Code file • 08:33 Resume the print • 09:07 Resume without homing Z • #3Dprinting #howTo #failedPrint
