#ErumaSaani • Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET) was established in the year 2006 by Dr.S.Thangavelu, an academician with more than 3 decades of experience in TNAU. The institution has been accorded Autonomous Status by the University Grants Commission and the syndicate of Anna University has recommended the award of Fresh Autonomous Status to our institution under the UGC scheme for Autonomous colleges for the period of 10 years with effect from 2019-20 to 2028-29. • Sri Shakthi is the first institution in India to award the status of Autonomy for all four years. SIET offers 13 UG courses and 5 PG courses. • Sri Shakthi is the only private engineering college in India, have launched own satellite in collaboration with ISRO. • Totally 8 departments have been NBA accredited, that is, Agriculture Engineering, Biotechnology, Bio-Medical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering. • Apart from this, research centres are established in 6 departments, namely Civil, CSE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, and Physics.
