You may be used to using the Pivot Table feature in Excel and there is a similar capability in Power Query. But you may think if it's something I can do in a Pivot Table why would I use it in Power Query. Well...if it something you do on a recurring basis, wouldn't it be nice if it took fewer clicks to do this? That's where Power Query comes in to play because it can semi-automate this process. Once you set it up for the most part all you need to do is just click refresh and it auto-magically updates it. In this video it will use an example of a data set with the first column that could have repeating values like name or invoice number and the second (or later) columns have different values (that represent categories) and a final column with a numeric value. If the goal was to see the invoice and the categories as headers in a table then this video will show how. • ๐ SUBSCRIBE to my channel โ https://goo.gl/wN3c3p • ๐ซ Excel Training โ https://www.exceltraining101.com/p/tr... • ๐ Excel Books Tech Gear โ https://www.amazon.com/shop/dough • โ๏ธ Tools: Screencasting โ https://techsmith.z6rjha.net/5Qe53 • โ๏ธ Tools: Microsoft Office โ https://microsoft.msafflnk.net/rKL0G • โ๏ธ Tools: TubeBuddy โ https://www.tubebuddy.com/et101 • ๐ This description may contain affiliate links and we'll receive a small commission if a purchased is made using the links (but at no additional cost to you).
