This popular refreshing drink is perfect to beat the summer heat. Watch the video to know how to make this recipe. • JALJEERA • Ingredients • 4 tablespoons cumin seeds (jeera) • Salt to taste • ¼ teaspoon asafoetida (hing) • Black salt to taste • 3 tablespoons castor sugar • 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger • 12-16 fresh mint leaves • Few fresh coriander sprigs • 1 tablespoon tamarind pulp • Juice of 2 lemons • 1 lemon, sliced • Ice cubes as required • Drinking soda for topping • Method • 1. Dry roast cumin seeds till fragrant and crush coarsely in a mortar with a pestle. • 2. Add salt, asafoetida, black salt and sugar and crush. Add ginger, mint leaves, coriander leaves and tamarind pulp and crush again. • 3. Halve lemons. • 4. Put some cumin mixture into individual tall glasses. Squeeze in juice from lemon halves, add 2-3 lemon slices and some ice cubes. • 5.
