It’s really exciting, really energetic, there’s tonnes of people here. - Tonnes of tourists, might I add! - Hola! - This is like the touristy hub. • We’re talking about Las Ramblas. Las Ramblas has the reputation of being a major tourist destination and we can tell you that that is most definitely accurate. If you can handle the crowds though, it’s actually a pretty, tree-lined, pedestrianised promenade. It’s about a mile long and it’s full of vibrant street artists and vendors selling flowers and newspapers. Honestly, I really enjoyed it there, it was very cool. Yeah, I liked it too. Lots of things to see, lots of things to do. • There’s this one part that has a great big mosaic on the floor which was created by Spanish artist Joan Miró. Or ‘Joan Miro’. - Haha, I love that you just butchered that. • So the challenge is to try and find his signature and it’s on one of the teeny-tiny tiles. That took us a bit of a while… - Right down here! Nice work, Miró! • We also got our caricatures done. I looked like a horse, big old teeth. - Any my eyebrows! We were being really polite and saying how lovely it was but actually it was terrible. - Not my favourite thing, I looked a bit like an alien. Look at my teeth! Little schnoogen. • So just off Las Ramblas is La Boqueria, which is a really awesome market that kind of reminds me of Borough Market. - There’s things like fruit and vegetables, sweets, meat, fish, beer…it’s really cool. I’d recommend it. - Yeah! • There’s also lots of outdoor dining; it’s very Barcelona. Lots of restaurants and bars, cafes. It’s a really nice way to just sit back and watch everything that’s going on around you. I’ve heard that although there are loads of restaurants here, they’re quite pricey because you’ve got a very captive market of just tourists who are on this stretch. You could end up paying up to 10 quid for a beer. Wowza! • All of that said, you can’t come to Barcelona without going to Las Ramblas. It’s crazy fun, vibrant, busy, exciting… And it’s definitely worth a visit. Two thumbs up! • Okay, thank you for watching and if you want to find out more about Barcelona, check out our Hidden Gems in Barcelona video. Yep and don’t forget to subscribe. Bye!
