But I also found he wasn’t that keen to go forward. So to start with I tried to creat some play to encourage forwardness. • I also took the bridle off as I think the bit worried him and he would bolt when too much pressure was put on it. I do sometimes use negative reinforcement and pressure and release but what I am very interested in, is being aware of the horses emotion throughout the training. • I am aiming for the horse to enjoy the training. I do use food rewards as I feel, like us, the horses like to receive things for their efforts.
