Setting the timing chain on a 22R engine from an '88 Toyota Pickup. The head gasket blew and the timing chain guide had also broken. I used some cord to hold the timing chain in place while I prepared the head for installation, a bungee cord would work also. #22R #toyotapickup #timingchain • The hard part was keeping the timing chain in position while setting the head on the block. With time and patience, it's doable. Help from a second person is preferred.
