Reticent (A site-specific dance) • Site-specific Dance is defined as a performance that is designed to exist in a location outside of the proscenium stage. • When a dance-piece is conceived in relation to a particular place, (and is therefore site-specific) the location becomes as much a part of the performance as the dancer’s body. This helps the dance and meaningful messages can be expressed. There is also a correlation between the dancers, location and the audience. • RETICENT • The name of this site-specific dance performance is Reticent. • The meaning behind this dance choreography: • People in this current era are very absorbed into the social media. Instead of communicating face to face, they rather communicate with someone through social media. • You can make friends just by clicking the like button and it can deleted just as easily.
