Inside, passenger Carey Thomas Crownover, 30, from DeLand, was acting violently, even kicking a deputy during his arrest. A search of the car revealed over a kilogram each of MDMA and amphetamine, along with other drugs. • A follow-up raid at Crownover’s home uncovered more: 2.5 kilograms of MDMA, cocaine, psilocybin, LSD, and additional trafficking amounts of amphetamines. Deputies also seized 11 firearms, one stolen, along with cannabis and alprazolam. • Crownover faces numerous charges, including armed drug trafficking, possession with intent to sell, and battery on a law enforcement officer. His father, Carey David Crownover, was also arrested for firearm possession as a convicted felon.
