I fulfilled my dream of thru hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2020, but it wasn't without it's obstacles. In what has proved to be the worst year in history to hike the Appalachian Trail - in a year of a global pandemic, my hike was very different from a typical thru hike. Although I started hiking northbound, I would change up my hike to make sure I could accomplish my goal.
