DIY Whirlpool Washer Lid Switch Repair

This Whirlpool top load washer would fill, but then would not agitate unless the lid was slammed multiple times. Obviously, there was a problem with the operation of the switch that detects if the lid is open or closed. This video will show you how to access the switch workings, and make an easy repair. (At 1:42, I meant to say hinge , not switch )
