Today as the Winnipeg Jets came into Pittsburgh to play the Penguins, both teams were looking to get a little momentum going for the 2nd half of the NHL season. The Jets saw the return of Mark Schiefele as well as adding Sean Monahan and the Penguins saw the return of Reilly Smith as well as adding Jesse Puljujärvi. This game had good goal tending, broken glass coming down on the Penguins bench and of course, the hard to watch hit on Penguins forward Noel Acciari. Jets D Brenden Dillon laid a crushing hit to Acciari in the 2nd period of the game that saw Acciari go flying as his helmet came off. This was a brutal hit to the head from Dillon who received a 5 minute major and was ejected from the game.
