Tyrosine is considered a nonessential amino acid which means your body can create it from other precursors. You would imagine, then, that it would have no problem creating what it needs, right? You'd think so but you'd be wrong because there are plenty of people who use this supplement to benefit various areas of their body. • Tyrosine is required by the body for the creation of certain neurotransmitters and important hormones and if your body can't create them, you will be symptomatic. This is where tyrosine supplementation steps in. • We know from patient experience, various studies, and physiology, that taking tyrosine may benefit the following areas: • 1. Better thyroid health. This is because tyrosine is necessary for the creation of thyroid hormone. Not enough thyroid hormone means low thyroid symptoms. • 2. Better adrenal health. This is because tyrosine is needed to create norepinephrine and epinephrine. The use of tyrosine has been shown to improve athletic performance. • 3. Better brain health. Tyrosine is needed to create dopamine. When dopamine levels are low you may end up with symptoms like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and so on. • 4. Better skin health. Tyrosine is needed to create melanin which is used to protect your skin from UV light and oxidative stress. • If you want to take tyrosine, using l-tyrosine is the most stable form and the dosing is anywhere from 100 to 500 mg on up. • #tyrosine #nutrition #aminoacids #ltyrosine #thyroid #adrenalfatigue #thyroidhealth • Download my free thyroid resources here (including hypothyroid symptoms checklist, the complete list of thyroid lab tests + optimal ranges, foods you should avoid if you have thyroid disease, and more): https://www.restartmed.com/start-here/ • Recommended thyroid supplements to enhance thyroid function: • Supplements that everyone with hypothyroidism needs: https://bit.ly/3tekPej • Supplement bundle to help reverse Hashimoto's: https://bit.ly/3gSY9eJ • Supplements for those without a thyroid and for those after RAI: https://bit.ly/3tb36nZ • Supplements for active hyperthyroidism: https://bit.ly/3t70yHo • See ALL of my specialized supplements including protein powders, thyroid supplements, and weight loss products here: • https://www.restartmed.com/shop/ • Want more from my blog?
