#carrotcake #cakefrosting #moistcake • This takes some efforts to bake, but turns out real tasty cake with a moist center. • Recipe: • Step 1: • Grated carrots: 3 Cups • Brown sugar: 1/2 Cup • Mix both and set aside for 50-60 minutes, this is key for a moist cake as sugar and carrots together release waters that replace milk or other liquids in the cake. • Step 2: • Preheat oven to 170'C (340'F) • Chopped walnuts: 3/4 Cup • 3/4 cup white sugar • All purpose flour: 1.5 cup • Baking Soda: 3/4 Tsp • Cinnamon powder: 2 TSP • Salt: 1/2 TSP • Mix all ingredients. • In a separate Bowl, Add the following: • 2 Eggs (beat them lightly) • Vanilla extract: 2 TSP • Vegetable oil: 1/2 Cup • Blend the wet ingredients and then add the dry ingredients and carrots. mix them well together. • Bake at 170'C (340'F) for 50-60 minutes, unless a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Take it out and, set cool about 30 minutes. Cut it in three layers, and then add the frosting as instructed in the video. • STEP 3: • Frosting Recipe: • While cake is cooling, you make the frosting: • Softened butter (not melted): 150 grams • Cream Cheese (I used Philadelphia): 200 grams • Icing sugar: 3 Cups • Blend them with a mixer until soft and forms peaks.
