Maramec Spring Park, located in St. James Missouri is one of the four incredible Trout Parks in the state. The James Foundation, a non-profit organization, owns and operates the park and partners with the Missouri Department of Conservation for their hatchery operations on site. • http://www.maramecspringpark.com/ • The foundation invited Outdoors Podcast to check out opening day of trout season on Monday March 1, 2021. • My future father in law Doug and I camped out in our RV Doris on Sunday evening and woke up well before 5:00am to catch all the opening day festivities. • The St. James Chamber of Commerce and the James Foundation opened the day at 6:30 am with a thunderous mortar shot and the first fish were landed in under 15 seconds. • We had an absolute blast walking around and talking to families that had been coming to opening day for nearly 50 years.
