It's time to explore British Columbia (Canada), and check out this awesome boondocking / FREE Camping spot. It's PERFECT for our Class C RV. Settle in to enjoy the RV life with a camping vlog! • -BC Recreation Site Website: http://www.sitesandtrailsbc.ca/ • Ahoy there, and welcome back friends. We wanted to get out of the lower mainland rain we had been experiencing while RV camping at Golden ears Provincial Park last RV vlog. So we packed up our site, got a workout and shower at Anytime Fitness and then we were back on the road. All of British Columbia has been super cold and rainy lately, so we didn't have a lot of options but chose to head up the Frasier Canyon (Highway #1). • Online we found an awesome looking BC recreation site near Ashcroft that we loved! RVing the Frasier Canyon is much easier hill wise for the RV and we love the beauty of the old highway. Ashcroft kind of gives us a Midwest vibe that we love as well and is a super unique area of BC. In one of our older RV travel vlogs last year we actually picked cactuses out here near the town of Savona! Crazy. • • While living in an RV, we really have been focusing on free camping, or Boondocking. This summer while we rved across Canada we probably only spent a week's worth time at paid sites and the rest was Boondocking or Walmarts. That being said, BC recreation sites make free camping and Boondocking so easy! We had seen pictures on the recreation site map and everything before hand. Just show up and let the RV camping vlog flow, which is always great. • We really enjoyed camping here and actually spent 3 nights RV camping by that lake in the end. Even if it was cold! We had to use our RV furnace consistently for the first time of the year so that was an adjustment for us again. The RV propane is pretty cheap, but even just the furnace fan blower takes so much of our RV battery capacity. Luckily our 23ft class c RV is equipped with an Onan 3500 generator that we get good use out of. In recent days it's still cold but we are getting used to the adjustments. We use a lot of battery power as it is with RV vlogging, with the laptops and camera stuff and now this one is another big consumer! Maybe solar someday, haha. • Our RV Cat, cat also got to get outside and enjoy camping. It's been fun helping her adjust to RV life. She's used to living in a condo so living an an RV has been a slow, but steady process for her. She has Some experiy traveling in an RV now though, also coming all the way across Canada with us. RV travel vlogs wouldn't be the same without our little fluffy kitty that's for sure! • Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed the RV camping vlog and checking out that awesome free camping spot. Until the next video where we continue to RV BC friends. We've been RVing highway 99 through the mountains again and it is CRAZY. • Thanks! • Luke and Alysha • Check out our Instagram: •   / lukeandalysha   • Subscribe 🙂 : • https://www.youtube.com/c/lukeandalys... • Check Out Our Gear!
