Nancy Tappan's Evans Creek Vineyard, the only commercial vineyard in Rogue River, Oregon, harvested its merlot, cabernet sauvignon, and cabernet franc grapes in late October, 2011. The fruit was crushed at Ted Gerber's Foris Vineyards in Cave Junction, Oregon, and will be included in Foris wines that will first become available in three to four years.
