In this video I will show you how to do a localizer approach from start to finish in the TBM 930. Simple, easy, and informative with step-by-step instructions and highlight boxes on each step. Setting up the localizer approach(just like an ILS), intercepting the localizer, and arming the NAV button on the auto pilot panel (the panel is really called the flight director control panel) are the toughest parts. The rest is easy and made easier in my explanation. I also show the steps of setting up the approach in the FMS/FMC. The point of this video is to be able to do an approach and landing after watching it. An ILS has two components, a localizer (left right guidance) and a GLIDE SLOPE (vertical guidance). The localizer is just like an ILS but no vertical guidance and descents have to be done manually after each fix. I explain all this and more in the video tutorial. • This is the Localizer 25 approach in Akron, Ohio (KAKR). • FS2020 How to Fly a Localizer Approach. • Elevator music courtesy of www.bensound.com • For entertainment purposes only.
