Ibuli or Kubili (Cubilia cubili) is an indigenous fruit similar to chestnut (tho it is more related to lychee) that is native to Philippines and Indonesia. In the Philippines, significant population is present in the towns of Pakil and Paete, Laguna. There's no widescale cultivation of ibuli. The edible seeds are usually gathered in the wild. The seeds can be roasted or boiled. Some locals also said its taste is similar to sweetpotato. • MABOLO - Mabolo (Diospyros blancoi), also known as Velvet Apple, grows from the Kamagong tree which is native to the Philippines. It has skin covered in a fine, velvety fur which is usually reddish-brown. Its soft and creamy white flesh has delicate taste and aroma comparable to a peach. However, fruits vary greatly – in shape, color, hairiness, and taste. Some people also describe the taste of mabolo as an overripe apple, strawberry-mango yogurt, or even cheese. • KATMON - Katmon (Dillenia philippinensis) is an endemic plant of the Philippines that grows in low to medium altitude forests throughout the country. The katmon plant produces fruits that are enclosed by sepals. The true fruit inside is edible and fleshy. • The fruit is deliciously sour and can be eaten raw. The taste of katmon is similar to a green apple. Katmon fruit can be used as a souring, or made into jams, sauces, or refreshers. • Credits to John Sherwin Felix for his post about this • #titsermjtv • #TitserMJTV • Thank you for watching ! • For business inquiries and collaboration, message me on my Facebook Page: / iamtitsermjtv • Support me and become a member: • / @mjmejiatv
