COVID19 Pandemic SASSA urges applicants to appeal rejected R350 grant claims

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) says the Special COVID-19 Social Relief of Distress grant ( The R350 Grant ) came to an end on Friday. In a statement, SASSA says although it will not be accepting any more new applications, - those which have been earlier approved but had yet to receive money will still be paid. Applicants whose grant applications had been denied, between February and April 2021 have until the end of May to appeal.
